Allt Dearg

(pronounced Jerak)

In a spectacular and isolated position close under the Black Cuillin ridge this unique old shepherd's cottage is ideally situated for climbing and walking and for exploring the rest of Skye. Allt Dearg with Black CuillinSheep sit on the doorstep and a lovely burn runs close by. It has been comfortably modernised while retaining its traditional character, including open fires, but modern double glazing throughout makes for comfort. The accommodation is divided into the main cottage which can sleep five and an annex (the Bothy) close by which sleeps three.

Browse our photo gallery of the cottage and its surroundings, or have a look at the list of extensive cottage facilities with pictures of the rooms to give you a feel for the place (there's also a text only version). We've also put together a list of local facilities and some maps showing Allt Dearg's central location on Skye.

The cottage is normally booked a long way ahead, so please have a look at the bookings details for information on availability and how to book.
